The Town Carnival Parade
I remember seeing the announcement that they were bringing back the town carnival. I find amusing that the French would schedule it during lent. Then again, I’ve learned that the traditions are better known in countries where Catholicism is regional.
Among the first pictures from our first digital camera are the pictures of my youngest daughter dressed up as fairy for the parade through town. It was the big day for costumes. Like Halloween in the US and Canada.
She’s too old for dress up now though I hope it stuck. I’ll keep an eye on the local events calendar this spring. Kids should have a day where they get to parade around in costume.
