Quote of the Day

We often do not see what we do not expect to see.

“Everyone is in favour of free speech. Hardly a day passes without its being extolled, but some people’s idea of it is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage.” — Sir Winston ChurchillSpeech in Parliament (1943-10-13)

  1. Amen to that. Or that they can say whatever they want, no matter how nasty, vile, insulting, ignorant, blasphemous, or profane it may be. Here’s a tip: exercise your freedom of speech, but be nice. Be respectful of others. Understand that in order to be heard, you must also listen, and be tactful and diplomatic. If you can do those things, you can say anything you want. And be heard. And isn’t that the whole point of it?
