Joseph Heller was an amazing writer, and the more I read about him, the more I wish I could have had the privilege of meeting him.
Personally, there’s something about him that gives me the feeling I would not have enjoyed a meeting. No specific reason, just an irrational feeling. My preference is for something with a little more distance like hearing him at a reading or some other meeting.
